St. Bernard Parish Update – February 9, 2021
CHALMETTE, La. – St. Bernard Transit to Run Bus Service on Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras, & Ash Wednesday
St. Bernard Transit will operate bus service on Lundi Gras Monday, February 15th and Mardi Gras Day Tuesday, February 16th.
St. Bernard Transit will also have bus service on Ash Wednesday, February 17th, which is observed as Presidents’ Day by St. Bernard Parish Government.
The schedule will remain the same, with the first bus departing Fanz Trailer Park for Arabi at 7:00 AM and the last bus leaving St. Claude Avenue and Mehle Street for Poydras at 6:00 PM.
Passengers are reminded that there is a national face cover mandate on all public transit vehicles issued by President Joe Biden requiring riders to wear a mask to slow the spread of COVID-19.

COVID-19:
Businesses can visit https://opensafely.la.gov/ and complete the quick process. They will receive the current life safety and COVID mitigation standards along with a placard to post. The business will then receive real-time updates on changes to include when opening is allowed for the specific type of business.
