St. Bernard Parish Government, Housing and Redevelopment Office will be accepting applications for their CSBG Community Christmas Vouchers. The vouchers are for the elderly and disabled low-income residents in St. Bernard Parish. Applications will only be accepted December 4 – 6, 2017 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the Housing Office located inside the Government Complex at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette.
All applicants must complete an application and provide the following required documentation:
- Driver’s License or State ID for all household members over the age of 18 (all programs)
- Social Security cards for all members of the household (all programs)
- Verifiable Proof of Income for all household members over the age of 18 (all programs)
- Current Award Letter for food stamps (if applicable / all programs)
Applicants must have all documents present, no exceptions. Any missing documentation will disqualify you. Anyone in the household over the age of 18 currently unemployed will be required to complete and sign a “Zero Income” form and will be referred to the St. Bernard Workforce Commission before application can be processed.
Vouchers will be distributed December 18th thru 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you received a Thanksgiving basket you are not eligible for this outreach.
