Val Reiss Sports Complex Ribbon Cutting

The ribbon was cut by Gulf Coast Bank Market President Gus Riess in honor of his uncle Val Riess. Val Riess Park was named in honor of Val Riess who served as a Police Juror and Parish Manager. Parish President Guy McInnis thanked everyone involved and stated the project will enhance the quality of life for the residents of St. Bernard Parish.

The Sports Complex now features multiple regulation sized basketball and volleyball courts. The Complex also features new scoreboards, bleachers, lighting, gym floor covering and an updated PA/Sound System. The project, which totaled $637,658.93, was funded by Community Development Block Grant funds. A special thank you goes to Hahn Enterprises, Inc. for the gymnasium equipment, Boasso Construction for the floors, All-Star Electric for the P.A./Sound system and Frischhertz Electric for the lighting.
