1117 – resolution approving the holding of an election in Hospital Service District of the Parish of St. Bernard, State of Louisiana, on Saturday, April 5, 2014, to authorize the levy of a special tax therein. Replaced Resolution #1112-12-13

1122 – resolution appointing Daniel Solis as the College Board Member of the St. Bernard Parish Fire Protection Districts No. 1-2, Fire Civil Service Board.

1123 – resolution authorizing the Council Chairman to execute an agreement with the Regional Planning Commission as required by Title 23, United States Code, Sections 134, 314 and 316 providing for the continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive development of transportation plans considering all modes of transportation. Such planning for Federal-Aid Highway and Federal-Aid Transit projects must be developed by metropolitan planning organizations (MPO’s) in cooperation with the state and affected local jurisdictions

1124 – resolution approving the issuance, sale and delivery of not exceeding three million dollars ($3,000,000) of revenue anticipation notes of the Hospital Service District of The Parish of St. Bernard, State of Louisi­a­na, and other matters relating thereto.

1125 – resolution requesting the Hospital Service District to submit a list of operational negative impact items if the hospital were managed by a large established regional health care provider.

1134 – A resolution to request that, in accordance with LA RS 49:214.5.3, the Louisiana State Senate, the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, and the Senate Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works lodge formal objections to CPRA’s FY2015 Annual Plan Projects BA-153 (Mid-Barataria Diversion), BA-163 (Lower Barataria Diversion), and BS-23 (Lower Breton Diversion) and any associated funding sources.

1136 – A resolution to request that all St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parish State Legislative Members make applicable motions as members of their respective committees on Natural Resources and Environment and Committees on Transportation, Highways and Public Works to lodge formal objections to CPRA’s FY2015 Annual Plan Projects BA-153 (Mid-Barataria Diversion), BA-163 (Lower Barataria Diversion), and BS-23 (Lower Breton Diversion) and any associated funding sources in accordance with LA RS 49:214.5.3.

1137 – a resolution to respectfully request that, in conjunction with St. Bernard Parish Government, the board of directors of the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District Lodge an official resolution of objection to CPRA’s FY2015 annual plan projects BA-153 (Mid-Barataria Diversion), BA-163 (Lower Barataria Diversion), And BS-23 (Lower Breton Diversion) and any associated funding sources.

1138 – aresolution to request reimbursement for travel expenses incurred by Councilman George Cavignac during the month of February while in attendance at meetings in Washington, DC and the Police Jury Association meetings in Baton Rouge, LA.

1139 – A resolution requesting approval to use funds from the Fifty Million Dollar Bond in the amount of $500,000.00 for the construction of the Central Wetlands Unit and Forty Arpent Canal Access and Enhancement Project. (Tabled) addressed at 3/18/14 Mtg.

1140 – A resolution authorizing the Parish President to enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement between St. Bernard Parish Government and Nunez Community College for use of CDBG- Disaster Recovery Long Term Community Recovery Program for workforce development.

1141 – A resolution to authorize the Parish President to spend forty-nine thousand five hundred five dollars and fifteen cents ($49,505.15) of the two hundred five thousand two hundred seven dollars and eighty-eight cents ($205,207.88) received from Hurricane Isaac reimbursements for the parish’s portion of work performed on FEMA Project Worksheet 1560 (Waterway Debris) for a total payment To Royal Engineering in the amount of sixty seven thousand three hundred seventy dollars and sixty cents ($67,370.60). 1145 – A resolution authorizing the investigation of the business policies and procedures surrounding Civic Center Inc. and any other nonprofit organizations directly associated with St. Bernard Parish Government.

1153 – Approve permits as recommended by the Alcohol Beverage and Bingo Department

1154 – A resolution authorizing the Parish President of St. Bernard Parish to enter into an agreement with the Louisiana Department of Transportation And Development, to provide for the installation of roadway lighting on W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette, La at the entrance of St. Bernard Parish Hospital, to assume all maintenance and operating cost, of the subject lighting system.

1155 – to change the polling location of Precincts 31, 33, 34 and 35 from Chalmette High School Gym Lobby back to Chalmette High School Cafeteria.

1156 – ratifying the following salary of the Director of Community Development as appointed by Parish President, David E. Peralta, in accordance with Article IV Section 4-01(b) of the St. Bernard Parish Home Rule Charter.

1157 – A resolution to appoint Captain Donovan Archote to the St. Bernard Parish 911 Communications District.

1158 – A resolution supporting the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District’s application for Tiger Funds for Chalmette Slip Dock Improvements Project.

1159 – A resolution accepting the proposal for precinct consolidation and authorizing the Council Chairman and the Parish President to enter into contract for said services.

1160 – A resolution requesting approval to allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) disaster recovery monies in the amount of $150,000.00 for support of the Jean Lafitte Parkway Drainage Project.

1161 – Aresolution creating a Committee of the Council comprised of Councilman Lewis, Councilman Montelongo, and Councilman McInnis to prepare for and conduct hearings in relation to Resolution SBPC #1145-03-14.

1162 – A resolution supporting the efforts of Administration to modify the Home Mortgage Authority’s rules and regulations regarding financing availability.

1163 – A resolution creating a Historic District Commission Search Committee which shall find qualified applicants to join the Historic District Commission.

1166 – Supporting the efforts of State Representative Raymond E. Garofalo, Jr. in adopting Louisiana Revised Statute 13:2575.6.

1167 – Respectfully requesting our LA State Delegation to amend LA RS 47:2161.

1168 – Opposing Senate Bill 629 and Senate Bill 79. Senate Bill 629 would transfer the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East, the Governing Authority of the Lake Borgne Basin Levee District, into the executive branch of government and place the Authority within the Coastal Protection Restoration Authority. Senate Bill 79 would deprive the members of the Authority of the independence needed to fulfill their statutory and constitutional duties

1169 – Adopting the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Questionnaire.

1170 – Authorizing the Parish President and the Council Chairman to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between St. Bernard Parish Government and the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office in regard to litter pickup.

1171 – A resolution authorizing and supporting the Parish President’s efforts to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Lake Bourne Basin Levee District, to build/construct a boathouse, a lagoon, an access road and a pedestrian bridge to facilitate the use of the 40 Arpent Canal and Bayou Bienvenue.

1172 – A resolution naming the Clerk of Council as the Records Management Officer for St. Bernard Parish Council.

1173 – Aresolution requesting approval to allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) disaster recovery monies in the amount of $150,000.00 for support of the St. Bernard Raw Water Intake Bridge Project.

1174 – A resolution approving local match funding towards Hurricane Isaac grants under the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program and FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program in the amount of $561,015.00 to support the Jean Lafitte Parkway Drainage Project.

Of the total project cost, LDNR shall contribute a maximum of Thirty-Five Thousand Two Hundred Sixty and 00/100 dollars ($35,260.00) and St. Bernard Parish Government shall contribute a minimum of Twenty-Six Thousand Two Hundred Sixty and 00/100 Dollars ($26,260.00).

1191 – A resolution respectfully requesting that WVUE Fox 8 New Orleans Louisiana Media Company LLC maintain their property located at 601 E. Magistrate Street in Chalmette Louisiana in accordance with the St. Bernard Parish Property Maintenance Code.

1192 – A resolution respectfully requesting that WDSU Channel 6 New Orleans Louisiana maintain their property located at 221 E. Josephine Street in Chalmette Louisiana in accordance with the St. Bernard Parish Property Maintenance Code.
