Bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on
Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in the
Office of the Department of Public Works, located at 8201 West
Judge Perez Drive, Room 240, 2nd Floor, Chalmette,
Louisiana, and opened at 2:00 p.m., at which time they will be
publicly read, for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment,
etc., and performing all work necessary for:
Rehabilitate Four Sewage Lift
Stations Located In St. Bernard Parish
M2-12, M2-13, M2-14 And M2-15
To be a
valid delivery, Sealed Bids must be delivered by hand to St.
Bernard Parish Government Department of Public Works, 8201 West
Judge Perez Drive, Room 240, 2nd Floor, Chalmette,
Louisiana during normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Monday through Friday on or before 2:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
Sealed bids delivered to any other St. Bernard Parish Government
location or other room number prior to the bid receipt deadline
will not be considered.
The
proposed Work provides for furnishing all labor, materials,
equipment, supervision and performing all work necessary to
clean exiting wet wells and piping, test and rehabilitate pumps
and motors, supply and install new control panels and all
appurtenance construction as shown and indicated in the Contract
Documents.
A
Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to discuss the scope of the project
and the requirements of the Bidding and Contract Documents will
be held at 10:00 a.m., local time, on Tuesday, July 15,
2008 at the Office of the
Department of Public Works, Water and Sewer Board Room, 1111 E.
St. Bernard Highway, Chalmette, Louisiana 70043. All bidders
must attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference.
Each bid
must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid
bond acceptable to the Owner in the amount equal to at least
five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and payable without
condition to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if
awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in
accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the
Contract Documents.
The
drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection
at the Office of the Department of Public Works, 8201 West Judge
Perez Drive, Room 240, 2nd Floor, Chalmette,
Louisiana, and may be secured from the office of N-Y
Associates, Inc. 2750 Lake Villa Drive, Metairie, LA, 70002,
Phone (504) 885-0500 by
licensed contractors upon payment of $50.00 per set, of which
$50.00 is refundable to each bona fide bidder for only the first
set obtained by each bona fide bidder, upon return of bid
documents in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt
of bids.
