Parish is registering for summer soccer season
Registration ends July 18
The St. Bernard Parish Recreation Department is
taking registration for the 2008 Summer Soccer Season. Parents
of children ages 5 to 14 can stop by the Recreation Office,
located behind the Government Complex in Trailer K-10, to fill
out the registration form. Parents must bring their child’s
birth certificate and proof of residency with them to properly
register.
The Recreation Office is open for soccer registration Mondays
through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The last day to
register for soccer is July 18, and there will be no late
registration allowed.
The 2008 Summer Soccer Season sport fee is $25 per child to
register. Additionally, if your child is not currently
registered with the Recreation Department, the Annual
Registration Fee per household is $30 per child or $50 for two
or more children.
The Recreation Department also needs experienced coaches,
umpires and score keepers. Anyone wishing to coach, keep score
or umpire can stop by the Recreation Department to fill out an
application.
Coaches must be at least 21 years old. Umpires must be at least
16 years old. Score Keepers must be at least 14 years old.
