Redfish Cup
Plans Begins
Members of the Redfish Cup Committee met at
Breton Sound Marina along with Steve Levi, the General Manager
of Career Sports & Entertainment, which produces the Oh Boy!
Oberto ESPN Redfish Cup Tournament. This year the tournament
will be held in Hopedale August 15 through 17. St. Bernard
Parish is one of the five stops selected to host the tournament
where 49 teams of some of the best professional anglers from
around the country will compete for a stake up to $2 million.
The event will feature a “Tailgate Party” each day with local
food, music, children’s activities, exhibits and free sports
related promotional items. Returning again this year is the
popular “Splash Dog” competition where dogs compete for the
longest jump.
