ELECTION
COMMISSIONER SCHOOL TO BE HELD
Lena R. Torres, Clerk of Court
announces that a course of instruction for Election
Commissioners will be held on Monday, July 21, at 7 p.m.
in the Courthouse at 1101 W. St. Bernard Highway in Chalmette.
In accordance with R.S. 18:431 of the Louisiana Election Code,
all commissions expire on June 30. Anyone desiring to be a
commissioner must attend class to become certified to serve
during the next four years beginning July 1, 2008.
YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED VOTER IN ST. BERNARD
PARISH to serve.
This is a mandatory meeting for ALL
COMMISSIONERS, even if you have served as a Commissioner or
a Commissioner-In-Charge in the past, you must still attend the
class to become certified for the next four years. If you have
