PARISH TO AUCTION SOME MOBILE HOMES
Auction will include surplus equipment and
damaged vehicles
St. Bernard
Parish Government is holding an auction on Tuesday, June 17 at 9
a.m. to sell the equipment and property sitting at 120 West
Agriculture Street in Chalmette.
“This is clearing the property off that you can see from Paris
Road,” Parish President Craig P. Taffaro Jr. said.
The auction will include water damaged as well as surplus
vehicles, heavy equipment, fire trucks, dump trucks, buses,
tractors, mobiles homes and more. The auction will not include
any small travel trailers that FEMA is forcing residents to move
out of because of concerns about formaldehyde.
Cuevas Auction is the auctioneer for the event and may be
reached at (228) 255-0657. All interested parties must meet the
standards as set forth by the auctioneer.
For anyone who doesn’t want to pay cash, Auctioneer Roland G.
Cuevas, Sr., said they must pay by check and bring a valid
driver’s license and a letter of credit from their bank
guaranteeing the amount of the check.
