PROJECT NO. 08-841
Sealed Bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on
Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in the Office of the Department of Public
Works, located at 8201 West Judge Perez Drive, Room 240, 2nd
Floor, Chalmette, Louisiana, and opened at 2:00 p.m., at which time
they will be publicly read, for furnishing all labor, materials,
equipment, etc., and performing all work necessary for:
St.
Bernard Parish
Roadway Restoration, Zones 1 Through 16—Phase 2
Project No. 08-841
To be
a valid delivery, Sealed Bids must be delivered by hand to
St. Bernard Parish Government, Department of Public Works, 8201 West
Judge Perez Drive, Room 240, 2nd Floor, Chalmette,
Louisiana during normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday on or before 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 24,
2008.
Sealed bids delivered to any other St. Bernard Parish Government
location or other room number prior to the bid receipt deadline will
not be considered.
This
project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials
necessary to repair existing roadways, driveways, curbs, and
sidewalks at various locations as instructed by the Engineer by
issuance of work orders, including maintenance of traffic and all
other incidental work.
Each
bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid
bond acceptable to the Owner in the amount equal to at least five
percent (5%) of the total amount bid and payable without condition
to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the
contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his
proposal and all terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.
The
drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection at
the Office of the Department of Public Works, 8201 West Judge Perez
Drive, Room 240, 2nd Floor, Chalmette, Louisiana, and may
be secured from the office of Barowka & Bonura Engineers &
Consultants, LLC, 209 Canal Street, Metairie, LA 70005 (504)
828-0030, by licensed contractors upon payment of $50.00 per
set, of which $50.00 is refundable to each bona fide bidder for only
the first set obtained by each bona fide bidder, upon return of bid
documents in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt of
bids.
